Having gone through a near death experience with cancer, life has taken on a whole new meaning. It's like opening a present each day and discovering what is inside that gift. This book would make an inspirational gift for someone going through a severe illness. I myself am a real "Miracle" and I talk about that experience, as you can read in the excerpts below.

The Stages of Life

This flower was something I had never seen before. I found it very fascinating because it displayed all phases of life. The tall, regal stem with its spearmint-like leaves burst with this bloom. You can see the beginning buds, the partially opened flower, the fully opened flower, then, the end of the flowers. It reminded me how alike -- this flower and I. We two shared the same type of life span. If you look at the flower, you can see more life than death, for the new buds are already there to add more life. It sustains itself. I am reminded that I need to keep life budding and blooming so I, too, will survive.

The Past Takes Flight

For me, this represents an absolute place of serenity. How beautiful are the sea, sky, and wispy clouds that blend to form such total peace. I stood on the bluff, and, as this bird passed by, it was as if my dear, sweet, gentle dad, my Grandma Burgeson, my stepdad "Pops," and my soul mate friend, Loa, were all waving hello and saying, "Take care, Sherry; we are proud of you."

I would like to finish by saying Thank You for sharing a moment of your time with me. This has been done for all those who have touched my life and will continue to touch my life. It has been a thrilling and exciting new adventure. Go, and let life embrace you to the max and remember, "One good thing each day.
